President’s Message
There is an unspoken fear in the hearts of many women in America and all around the world today. Breast Cancer.
This life threatening and life altering disease is the number one killer of American women 35-45 years of age. It will target and estimated 1 in every eight women and is the most common type of cancer diagnosed among women of every ethnic group in the United States.
Some even call it an “epidemic.”
There is Hope!
Breast Cancer Research and Assistance Fund believes there are direct links between our environment, our living habits and the basic causes of cancer. We believe we can work together to fight breast cancer by making changes in our environment and living habits through improving nutrition, removing known carcinogens from our environment, our food, our water and air. We believe through educating and supporting changes in these areas, we can make tremendous strides in the fight to prevent breast cancer.
The past year was one marked by continued growth as we utilized our resources to maximize our impact in continued research.
Breast Cancer Research and Assistance Fund has been driven by the challenges of providing research grants and shipments of medical supplies and humanitarian aid to hospitals and programs that treat breast cancer and other degenerative diseases. In addition, our efforts will continue to be aimed at funding support groups that provide educational information to the general public. Also, providing ongoing educational, emotional, financial, and spiritual support will continue to be at the core of our programs.
We depend on public support and volunteerism and are dedicated to seeking out cost-effective ways of providing vital resources.
Our efforts focus on providing educational materials about nutrition and therapies for breast cancer as well as acquiring and placing much needed medical equipment and supplies in clinics and hospitals that provide care for the needy. By networking with new agencies we help develop the resources and programs desperately needed by hospitals and clinics in an effort to provide the highest level of care for victims of cancer.
Together We Can Make A Difference!
